Building Stronger Families
At Abba, we are committed to transforming lives by providing holistic child protection as well as social, and permanency services. With a strong footprint across Gauteng, Western Cape, and North West provinces, our work focuses on strengthening families, supporting communities, and empowering young mothers. For over 30 years, we have dedicated ourselves to safeguarding vulnerable children and ensuring they grow up in safe, loving, and permanent family environments. Guided by our core pillars of Prevention, Protection, and Permanency, we strive to create brighter futures for children and families across South Africa.
Prevention
We believe in addressing challenges before they escalate. Our Prevention Programmes focus on empowering families, young mothers, and communities through education, early intervention, and support. From promoting positive parenting to equipping families with resources to prevent crises, we work to build resilience and safeguard children from harm.
Protection
Protecting vulnerable children and families is at the heart of what we do. Through our Child Protection Services, we provide safe and nurturing environments, crisis intervention, and support for children at risk. Our programmes also include training for social workers and partnerships with community organisations to advocate for children’s rights and safety.
Permanency
Every child deserves a loving, stable, and permanent family. Our Permanency Services include foster care, reunification efforts, and specialist adoption services. With decades of experience, we work to place children in forever families while supporting all members of the adoption triad—birth parents, adoptive parents, and adoptees.
